Argh!! Busy!!

Since morning, I've been running around like crazy. We woke up late, at almost 8.15am. Che'Boh's and Ana's bus leaves at 9.30am. Aku dah panic! Risau takut stuck dalam jam. Dah la by the time aku bangun, both of them tak breakfast lagi. Rasa bersalah betul aku, neglecting my guests.

Aku bangun, terus goreng nasi for them, then 9am, kita orang bertolak ke Hentian Putra. Weee... I was so happy with the traffic this morning. KL lengang! Waaa.. cam tak caya je that KL tak jam pagi tadi. Kita orang sampai kat Hentian Putra at 9.15am. !5 minit je dari rumah aku. Alih2 bila dah sampai, bas pulak tunda ke 10am. Aku pulak nak cepat, takleh tunggu my guests naik bas, sebabnya kita org nak exercise. Nasib baik K.Mei ada, so K.Mei la tunggu dia org. Iman and Iffah slept at rumah K.Mei last nite sebab semalam dia org main futsal kat  NSTP. The girls ikut kita orang balik pagi tadi.

Sampai rumah, aku start exercise, habis dah almost 12noon. Then aku keluar dengan the girls pegi jumpa Alie kat Jusco AU2. Terkejut aku Alie dah pakai tudung. I'm so happy for her. Dia kata hijrah tahun baru. Alhamdulillah. Lepas jumpa Alie, aku pegi ke Post Office, deliver BB Cream to few people, then aku ke Baank Rakyat, masukkan duit for the girls. Lepas pegi Bank Rakyat, aku go for a drink dengan K.La (my cousin) yang kebetulan aku terjumpa kat Bank Rakyat. K.La was with her son, Fakhri. Rupanya Fakhri patah kaki main bola, 2 bulan tak pegi sekolah sebab kaki bersimen. So, K.La bawak Fakhri to her school (K.La is a teacher) untuk belajar buat sementara waktu. Sekolah K.La pulak, semua pompuan. Famous la Fakhri among the girls sebab dia sorang je budak lelaki dalam the whole school excluding teachers. :D

Balik from minum dengan K.La, aku singgah Giant untuk beli tepung custard and raspberry jelly mix. Sampai je rumah, aku terus buat trifle for my guests yang nak datang malam ni. Lepas buat trifle, I cooked Fettucini Carbonara with Shrimps. Dah sudah masak, rasa macam nak pengsan tergolek2 je. Letih giler. Lepas solat maghrib, guests aku pun sampai. Now baru semua balik.. and it's almost 11pm. Tomorrow aku ada lunch date kat Chili's, Empire Subang pulak. Argh!

 Breakfast pagi tadi. Nope, I didnt eat the nasik goreng.

 Sorry, my house is a bit messy. Cuma pizzas, pasta, trifle, nangka je untuk guests. tuan rumah yang sangat malas.. hahahha

My 2nd Trifle this week. I love this better. I made the custard soft. Bila makan dengan cake and jelly tu, rasa sedap sgt2 :D

Custard
4 tbs custard (mix with few tbs of milk)
500 ml condensed milk (ambik few tbs to mix with the custard flour)
500ml water
4 tbs sugar

cara2
1. Bring the milk & water to boil, add sugar.
2. Campur custard yg dah dibancuh dengan susu, kacau sehingga custard berkilat. Custard ni lembut, tapi firm enough untuk set atas the jelly mix.

Sugar Cravings

Yikes! What I hate about my 6-days working routine is that, I'll have this sugar cravings. I hate anything sweet, but sejak dua menjak berexercise ni, I suddenly developed sweet tooth. Even doughnuts that I normally stayed away like plague pun boleh aku suka. Grr... Time nak reduce sugar intake ni la, macam2 dugaan melanda.

Last nite, I slept quite late. Lepas berborak dengan Che' Boh (hubby's Aunt) and Ku Ana (hubby's cousin), aku ingatkan boleh la tido. Tapi sampai 1.30am, mata still terkebil2 lagi. Dah la hubby  takde. Hubby keluar dengan kengkawan dia, balik pun lambat, rasanya about 2.30am. While waiting for hubby to be back, aku selongkar almari. Jumpa la setin condensed milk, a pack of raspberry jelly mix, a can of sliced peach, 2 block of butter cake which I bought earlier kat Jusco and custard flour.

Aku pun apa lagi.. Terus buat trifle. But, since semlm tu still considered as my exercise day, aku takde la makan terus trifle tu. Simpan dalam peti dulu. Mula2 nak letak whipped cream, tapi cari fresh milk takde pulak. I'm currently using whipping powder yang ina bagi. So, kalau desperately need whipping cream, just tambah the powder to cold milk je. Then guna mixer untuk dapatkan the hard peak.

Anyway, this is my trifle. Baru aku tau, rupanya, bila buat trifle, the cake kena letak jam and the cake kena soaked in the jelly mixture. Hari ni bila aku rasa the trifle, rasa sedap giler!! Memang tak nyesal la aku buat and luckily I didnt taste it last nite. If not, definitely gonna be hard for me to eat just 1 slice.


How to make trifle.

Pound cake - I bought mine kat Jusco which cost about RM4 per block (me being a cheapskate mom, I bought the one that is being sold at 50% discount.. hahahha)
1 box of Raspberry jelly mix ( I used nona brand)
1 canned of sliced peach
Custard mix

How to assemble.
1. Sliced the cake into few pieces, pastu ambik 2 slice cake, letak strawberry jam, then lekatkan, susun dalam bekas kaca. make sure the bottom tu adalah layer cake yg dah disapu strawberry jam.
2. Then, mix the jelly mix with air panas yang baru mendidih sampai larut, tuang ke dalam bekas kaca yang berisi cake tu.
3. Sementara menunggu jelly mix tu keras (dont worry about floating cake slices, dia akan mendap once the cake absorbed all the moisture from the jelly mix), buat custard.

5. Bila the jelly mix dah hard enough, tuang the custard mix yg panas tu atas the jelly mix. Sejukkan, pastu boleh la letak whipping cream on top (which I omit coz I hate the creamy taste)

LOL... bila baca part "My father is strong like a T Rex", aku dah terkekek2 gelak. I can imagine why she wrote that. Masa tu  hubby memang angkat berat, always pegi gym. Muscle pun bagak. Agaknya sebab tu kot dia samakan abah dia dgn T Rex.

Iffah wanted onde-onde for tea. Mama yang sedang diet ni terpaksa la buat. And, as expected, beberapa bijik masuk jugak ke dalam perut Mama. Urgh!

 Comel tak the onde2? I used nisang yg tak dicampur dgn gula, 100% asli. 

 Machine membuat onde2. hehehe. buruh paksa ni.

Missha Watery BB Cream

Ok! I received Missha Watery BB Cream from Mina, my Korean SIL today. I read reviews on the product, some people suka sangat, some tak suka. After using it once, I love it a lot! Missha BB Cream Perfect Cover works wonders to the skin, and I thought, it's the best. Mina cakap, Watery BB Cream is the trend now in Korea and Japan. The product is selling like a hot cake and I can see why. I applied it in the afternoon, sampai sekarang, muka aku rasa sangat lembab and gebu, nampak berseri-seri.

Kalau baca reviews about this product, some people find it difficult to apply sebab it's watery. What I did tadi, before applying the cream, I shake it for a minute. Pastu picit sikit kat the back of your hand, then apply on your face. The tone is perfect for those yang kulit tak putih melepak. Actually, for our skin, I think Watery BB Cream suits us the best. 6.5kg lesser..

Still long way to go.. me and Wan

Bila tengok gambar aku dengan Wan ni, rasa mcm dah kurus muka aku tu. Tapi pesal la my butt still looks square? Hubby said I need to lose another 3kg to see a significant changes in my body. *sigh*... 2 more weeks to go then. I hope quitting is not in the pipeline. 

Semalam aku pegi makan2 kat Johnny's Jusco AU2 with Wan and my cousin Ita. Lama giler aku tak jumpa Ita. Dah almost 4 years kot or maybe more. The last time aku jumpa dia masa anak dia yang no. 3 tu was about 3 years old. Now he's in Year 1. And Ita dah tambah lagi 2 orang anak. Seronok tengok orang yang anak ramai, they're so blessed. Bila la aku nak tambah rakyat ni?

I'm crazy over macaroons sekarang. I've never tasted it, and I doubt that I'll like it coz it's sweet but bila tengok the colour macaroons, rasa geram nak bake. Tapi, kalau dah bake, boleh ke aku stay away from eating it? TOLONG!

Another milestone

Today I weigh myself and I'm so happy with the result. I lost another 2kg. Yay!! So total weight lost now, is 6.5kg within 3 weeks of resistance training. This is my week 4. Hopefully I can lost another 2-3kg by end of this week.

Eh! tapikan, boleh ke? Hubby ajak balik Trg this weekend sebab dia nak antar his mom. His mom dah tak sabar2 nak balik, rindu cucu gamaknya. Ye la, dah almost 2 weeks duduk KL. Orang tua mana la nak tinggal rumah dia org lama2. Same goes with my parents. Kalau bertandang ke rumah kita org, taknak duduk lama2.

Since aku start exercising, I didnt cook as often. Our daily meal is just brown rice and ikan singgang. Even the girls are being forced to eat brown rice and ikan singgang. But with MIL around, terpaksa la jugak aku masak. Tapikan, aku tak ambik any photos coz terlalu letih. Bila belek2 album food aku, ada lagi dish yg aku belum upload kat sini. My version of kerabu jantung pisang yg just guna lemon. Aku rasa ok la, but aku still prefer the version yang guna kelapa parut and ikan rebus tu.

Oh ya! On Friday masa kita org pegi Chili's Empire Subang, hubby bought this for the girls. Cannot buy sorang satu la, coz it's expensive. So terpaksa la the girls share. Tapikan, in the end, yang dok giler main game Fruit Ninja is their Abah. Grrr...

Takde Mood

I feel like quitting today. Argh! Takleh tahan the fatigueness. Everyday I woke up feeling this way. Memang selalunya, 3rd week is the hardest. 1st week, you're on a mission to loose weight. 2nd week, you're at a junction between quitting and moving on. 3rd week, you'll be so damn tired, that you'd be willing to forgo ur initial goal and couldnt care less about it.

I'm at the 3rd week juncture. Kalau bukan sebab hubby, I think I'd have quitted on Monday. But hubby kept me going. He even bought me a new mp3 so that I can enjoy my run without feeling bored. But I'm so tired. I feel like I can sleep forever. Nasib baik makcik ton ada. At least pagi2 dia dah masakkan brown rice and ikan singgang. And I so hate ikan singgang that I dont think I'll ever eat ikan singgang ever again, NOT. I dont have a choice coz that's the healthiest food for hubby. No meat for him for the time being.

Anyway, since MIL is still here (she has been staying with us since saturday), aku masakkan dia meehoon goreng hari ni. She loves meehoon goreng. I love meehoon goreng too.. but I cant eat meehoon goreng sebab tgh diet.. huwaaaaaaaaaaa... this is so difficult for me.. nak nangis la mcm ni. Dah la tadi Shariff muntah dalam kete aku, lagi buatkan aku rasa nak nangis and takde mood.

 I'm sorely tempted to eat this.

 Really really cannot tahan one.

Beef Stew

Aku kan still on diet and exercise program, maka, makan pun kena la yang ringan2 je. Iman wanted to eat meat, hubby is off beef and chicken, so aku buatkan beef stew ni untuk iman. She loves it a lot! I love it too. It's so simple, main campak2 je, few hours later, dah siap.

Since aku tak penah masak beef stew and I dont wanna waste time to try a recipe yang ada possibility tak jadi, maka aku guna the recipe in allrecipes.com. One thing I like about allrecipes.com is the fact that the readers took the time to review and make changes to the recipe whenever necessary. So, untuk orang yg pemalas mcm aku ni, all I need to do is just skim through the comments, pick some ideas and suggestions, then throw in some of mine, voila! jadila a perfect recipe, to my taste :D

Beef Stew (pronounced as "stju")

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  •  salt
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp thick soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups water mixed with beef stock (boleh guna knorr or maggi)

Directions

  1. Dredge beef cubes in flour until evenly coated.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet, and cook coated beef cubes until evenly browned. Add chopped onion.
  3. Once the onion has turned brown, transfer beef to slow cooker and add carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, salt, sugar, pepper, thick soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce. Pour in water and stir.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW 10 to 12 hours or on HIGH 5 to 6 hours. Serve hot!!(aku cuma masa atas dapur for about 4 hours je.)
Note : if the stew is too thin, melt butter, add few tbs flour, cook until brown, add 1 cup of water, stir it, then pour it into the stew. If the mixture is lumpy, blend it before pouring into the stew.

No baguette in the house, maka terpaksa la makan dengan roti putih.

Bubur Lambuk

Cik Wok wanted bubur lambuk. Kat KL ni, mana la nak cari daun2 for the bubur lambuk. MIL brought the daun2 with her on saturday. Oleh kerana aku busy sangat on saturday tu, tak sempat nak masak bubur lambuk, I cooked the bubur on sunday.

A typical Terengganu bubur lambuk, takde kerisik and santan. Mine ada both coz my version of bubur lambuk is bubur lambuk Kelantan. Why I cook bubur lambuk version Kelantan? It's because my mom duduk kat Besut, which is sempadan negeri Kelantan and Terengganu, so most of the dishes kat sana ada influence from Kelantan.

A conversation that I had with Che' Hab (hubby's aunt)

Me          : Che' Hab, Cik Wok pegi mana? (When I arrived at her room, Cik Wok wasnt there)
Che' Hab : Cik Wok bersungai.
Me          : Bersungai? Mana ada sungai kat Ampang Puteri ni.
Che' Hab : Bersungai tu buang air besar or kecik (sambil gelak)

Maknanya, lepas ni, kalau nak cakap pegi buang hajat, kena cakap bersungai, lebih sopan santun :)


Bubur Lambuk
Bahan2
1/2 pot beras
Air secukupnya (bergantung pada beras)
6 ekor ikan selayang - rebus, buang tulang dan tumbuk
1 tbs lada hitam - tumbuk
daun2 for bubur lambuk (termasuk la daun kadok, daun kemangi)
garam
1 tbs kerisik
250gm santan

cara2
1. Masak beras tu hingga menjadi bubur, tapi make sure nasi bubur tu tak terlalu hancur.
2. Masukkan daun, santan, kerisik, ikan dan lada hitam.
3. biarkan merenih diatas dapur sehingga bubur betul2 empuk.
4. tambah garam dan boleh la dihidangkan.

Pengat Nangka & A Hospital Visit

Saturday, I made pengat nangka. Ingat nak hantar sikit to Cik Wok kat hospital, but aku tak sempat nak squeeze in masa to visit her because sibuk sangat on saturday tu. Nasib baik jugak aku tak pegi on saturday coz Agung went to visit her lepas asar on saturday tu. Phew! kalau tak, seksa nak berprotokol.

Dunno why, I hate protokol. Dari nak kena angkat sembah etc, baik la aku duduk rumah je. To me, it's ridiculous. Tapi dah adat, nak wat camne. Since hari sabtu tu tak sempat gi hospital, I visited Cik Wok semalam. Aku buatkan bubur lambuk (will upload photo later today or esok) and meehoon goreng singapore. I went with my MIL sebab dia pun belum visit Cik Wok lagi.

Pengat nangka tu aku buat menggunakan nangka depan rumah. Rasa dah nak muntah makan nangka sebab dari last week, dah 3 biji yg masak. Sebijik nangka berat dalam 10-15kg. So imagine la, mcm mana kita org 4 beranak ni, nak habiskan 3 bijik nangka. Tu pun dah bagi pada jiran2, still ada lagi nangka dalam peti. Nangka depan rumah tu sedap sangat. Mok beli benih nangka tu from this one chinese farmer kat Tangkak. Buah dia manis, wangi and tak bergetah. Tak macam nangka yang beli kat tepi jalan or kat supermarket. 





Pengat Nangka
Bahan2
Nangka - 1/2kg, potong dadu
Biji nangka - rebus hingga empuk, potong dadu
1/2kg santan
2 cups air
3 senduk gula (kalau suka manis or kurang manis, boleh kurangkan/lebihkan the sugar ikut selera)
a pinch of salt
daun pandan

cara2
1. Masukkan santan dan air ke dalam periuk, bersama daun pandan, gula dan garam.
2. Bila santan dah mendidih, masukkan biji nangka dan isi nangka. Masa for few minutes, boleh la dihidangkan.

Ketibaan Puan Corelle from Doha

Semalam, pagi2 lagi aku dah bangun, mandi2, pakai perfume sebab nak menyambut ketibaan Puan Corelle from Doha. Flight Qatar Airways sampai pukul 2.40pm, tapi pukul 1.20pm, aku dah bertolak dari rumah. Aku ajak my cousin, Wan, to temankan sebab risau jugak nak drive sampai KLIA sorang2. Nowadays, hubby memang tak bagi pegi jauh sorang2 sebab dia kata, manusia zaman sekarang hati kering.

Kita orang sampai KLIA pukul 2.40pm. Sampai je KLIA, Pak Abu (bapak Corelle... hahahha.. marah pak abu ni nanti), telepon cakap dia dah arrived, baru nak clearance custom. Risau jugak kalau Puan Corelle kena duty. Ye la, sure pakcik2 custom tu jeles tengok kejelitaan Puan Corelle, takut ada yg tak puas hati, suruh bayar extra. But, alhamdulillah, semua lepas. Aku suka hati betul bila tengok 2 kotak tu. Pak Abu bawak balik hati unta for hubby,  insyaAllah it will help to cure his asthma.

Oleh kerana Pak Abu dah baik hati temankan Puan Corelle dari Doha sampai KL, aku offered to give Pak Abu a lift to Hospital Ampang coz his aunt sakit kat situ. Walaupun sepatutnya aku terus ke Subang Airport to fetch MIL at 6pm, demi Puan Corelle, aku rela pusing jauh. Lepas drop Pak Abu kat Hospital Ampang, aku terus ambik DUKE, masuk NKVE untuk ke Subang Airport. Sampai kat Airport, ngam2 je untuk aku minum teh secawan. I was so hungry, rasa nak makan semua je food dalam menu. Tapi melampau la pulak kan. So aku terpaksa la berlakon, ala2 sopan gitu, plus since I was still on diet semlm, aku kena la makan dengan berhemah. Nasib baik ler hari ni free day, boleh aku balas dendam makan :D

Nak tengok tak Puan Corelle yg 2 kotak tu? It's 76 pcs set serving for 12.

 Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... finally it's here! K.Min, I think I'm not waras anymore when it comes to Corelle :(

Dinner @ Empire Gallery Subang.

It was an unplanned dinner. Mula2, adik aku, Mas, called, mintak aku call Warque (GM Chilis Subang), tanya whether Warque keje ke tak today coz she wants to go to Chili's. Kalau Warque ada, normally Warque akan bagi 30% off, which is a lot la considering Mas memang selalunya order banyak dish. So semlm, aku called Warque. Pastu entah macam mana, instead of just jadi telephonist, dengan aku sekali ikut Mas pegi ke Chili's.

Iman and Iffah tak pegi sekolah sebab both cakap sakit perut. Tapi bila aku cakap nak pegi Chili's, dua2 terus sihat. Grrr... geram sungguh. Baru 2nd week of schooling, dah ponteng sekolah. Dah la last week Iman cuma pegi sekolah 2 hari je coz she was not well. I think I'm being too lenient with them. Lepas ni kena belajar jadi mak yg brutal sikit, and paksa dia org pegi sekolah walaupun sakit.

Alang2 dah sampai Chili's, I called Linda (my batchmate, roomate masa kat Tassie) to join us. Kebetulan Linda baru habis lab, and kena ambik her son kat Sapura Smart School. Lama jugak aku tak jumpa Linda. Aku, Linda and Warque bergossip sakan la.. hehe.. seperti biasa. Bila time nak bayar, Warque cakap takyah, dia belanja kita org. Aduh! malu giler coz we ordered a lot! Tapikan, kalau tau Warque nak belanja, aku order lagi banyak.. muahahahaha..

Nasib baik la diet aku tak hancus semalam. Somehow, since start exercising, aku sangat2 kurang makan. Memang takde niat pun nak diet ke apa ke, just that capacity perut dah makin kecik. I ordered Honey Chicken Crispers, serving ada 5 pcs of chicken breast yang dah dipotong panjang2 and I only managed to eat 1/2 strip. Linda pun macam tak caya aku makan sikit macam tu. Next week I'm going to Chili's Empire Subang again, but this time dengan Matju, Layla and their broods. *sigh*... Chili's lagi.

 Punya la letih, on the way to Chili's, Shariff dah tertido dalam kete.

 Shariff cakap "Mama, ambik gambar". Huh?

Instead of gambar food, this time, aku ambik gambar crayon je la ye.

Visiting..

I had a full day yesterday. By the time I reached home, it was already 9pm. I went out from 4pm. No, I didnt go shopping. I went to visit hubby's aunt or maybe great aunt? Ishk! I'm serious blur with the salasiah keturunan hubby. Che' Wok is Agung's aunt, I'm not sure how she's related to hubby. Maybe his aunt jugak.

Yang pastinya, I went to visit Che' Wok at Ampang Puteri. She's staying at the premier ward. Hubby's other aunts were there too, Che' Hab (from whom I learned the many Terengganu traditional dishes) and Che' Boh. Che' Hab is staying with Che' Wok until Che' Wok sihat. Che' Wok is quite old, dah nak masuk 84 years old, very frail and kurus. Semalam Che' Wok requested sup ayam for lunch. So kejap lagi, lepas ambik Iman and Iffah from school, I'll have to send Sup Ayam to Che' Wok.

Today I ran so hard on the treadmill that I kept on sweating even after 30 minutes completing the exercise. But sadly, I couldnt reach 20 minutes of running on the treadmill. Somehow hari ni, aku lost the motivation to push myself. I was too tired. Most probably due to lack of food yesterday. Masa kat hospital visiting Che' Wok, I skipped few meals. In order to have the energy to exercise, I have to eat 6 meals a day. Missing a meal means lack of nutrition to the body, thus sending wrong messages to the brain. *sigh*... I need to keep reminding myself to eat right and on time.

Meehoon Goreng Singapore

I'm kindda had it with Ikan Singgang and Brown Rice. Kelmarin, I cooked meehoon goreng for the kids after they completed their homework on time. It's heavy for supper, tapi takpe la, once in a blue moon. Bila masak macam ni, of course, aku tak boleh nak stop myself from tasting it. Dah sepinggan la pulak masuk perut aku. Nasib baik perut dah kecik by a lot, so sepinggan for me is 1/2 senduk of meehoon. Phew!

Recipe
1 bungkus meehoon -rendam for 1/2 hour
200gm daging - hiris panjang
6 ulas bwg putih - crushed
6 tbs oyster sauce
1- 2 tbs lada hitam
salt
2 batang carrot - hiris panjang
kobis - hiris panjang
sawi
taugeh
2 biji telur - goreng scrambled, asingkan.

cara2
1. Tumis bawang putih di dalam kuali, masukkan daging, oyster sauce dan lada hitam.
2. Masukkan 2 cawan air ke dalam kuali, bila menggelegak, masukkan meehoon yg dah ditoskan.
3. Tambah garam.
4. Bila meehoon dah hampir kering, masukkan sayur. Goreng sehingga sayur 1/2 masak, masukkan scrambled eggs. Hidangkan.

Cardio Day & Egg Rolls with Grilled Sardine

I hate cardio day coz I hate running. Kalau takat lari2 anak for about 20 minutes, ok la, maybe boleh consider. Ni tak, aku kena lari macam kena kejar anjing gile or bulldog, sampai panting mcm nak mati, then baru la aku achieve the maximum intensity.

Pagi tadi, with stomach yang still sakit, aku berlari jugak. I managed to run 1.6km in 20 minutes with maximum heart rate of 175 and maximum speed of 8km/h. In order to turn our body into a working horse, kena reach heart rate of 170 and above. Then baru la body kita akan burn fat faster. Dalam 20 minutes, I did five cycle of peak 8km/h. Peh! penat makcik ni berlari. Nasib baik la tak ramai orang kat gym pagi tadi. Kalau tak sure org pelik, pehal la makcik ni panting bagai nak rak .. hehehe..



Normally, before we start our exercise routine, we'll drink 1 stix of Hydroxycut Hardcore X. Lepas exercise, kena minum protein with 1tsp of Glutamine. So far I'm quite happy with the result that I'm seeing now. I hope I can commit myself to this for the rest of my life. Tapikan, bila dah start execising, dengan sendirinya, dah malas nak masak. Kalau masak, I cannot tahan the temptation to eat the yummy food. Baik takyah masak. Iman and Iffah pun sekarang dah slimmer a bit sebab hari2 makan brown rice and ikan singgang.



Tengahari tadi, I concocted another simple egg rolls recipe for the kids using grilled ikan selayang/sardine.

Recipe
4 biji telur
3 ekor ikan sardin/selayang or any ikan - panggang, buang tulang
2 tbs sugar
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

cara2
1. tumbuk lada hitam sampai lumat, masukkan ikan panggang, gula dan garam, tumbuk sampai hancur.
2. pecahkan telur dalam mangkuk, kepuk menggunakan garpu.
3. panaskan minyak dalam egg pan, tuang telur, tabur ikan diatas telur, gulung. continue repeating the same procedure sampai la telur habis.

Short Trip To Terengganu

Mok and Abah wanted to go back to Besut dah seminggu. Tapi they had to postponed their trip back to Besut sebab Harun nak pegi Paris (he's moving to Paris with his family) on the 7th, which was on Friday. So semalam, dah tak sabar2 dah parents aku nak balik. Since hubby ada keje kat Terengganu, so we decided to hantar Abah and Mok balik, but only to Kuala Terengganu coz hubby ada meeting kat KT pagi2 at 10am. Takut kalau balik Besut, tak sempat nak bertolak pagi tadi. Adik aku, Abe, came to picked up Abah and Mok this morning.

Kita orang bertolak from KL at 9.30pm semalam, sampai KT pukul 4am, then petang tadi balik semula ke KL at 3.00pm, sampai KL at 9.30pm. Peh! rasa macam nak tercabut semua anggota badan aku, sebab terlalu penat. Dah la aku still tak sihat lagi. Whatever I eat or drink, will definitely keluar balik. Tadi on the way balik ke KL, aku tak makan or minum, and still hubby kena make few stop at rest area. *sigh*.. susah betul sakit bila dah tua ni..

Last nite, kakak aku, Shima, joined us kat KT. Kebetulan, dia pun on the way nak balik Besut sebab anak dia, Yunus, dapat masuk MRSM Ulul Albab. Aku ajak kakak aku tido dengan kita orang coz Suhaila (my SIL) berbaik hati bagi we all stay kat homestay dia di Batu Buruk. Her homestay is a semi-D house, tepi pantai batu buruk, about 1/2 km from A&W batu buruk. The place is called Dedaun Homestay.


Pagi tadi, for the first time in more than 14 years, aku breakfast with K.Ma and Mok without our respective hubby. Best jugak breakfast bertiga macam tu. Though it was kindda awkward sebab aku tak penah la spend time alone mcm tu dengan kakak aku since lepas dia kawin. But, it's a start.

On the way to KT last nite, hubby was tired, and asked me to drive on LPT sampai Exit Jabor. Hubby had to duduk belakang with Mok and Iman (Iffah tinggal with Mas in KL), coz Abah is too big to sit in the back. Hubby was seating behind me. Tengah drive, tiba2 aku rasa ada tangan merayap kat tepi badan aku. Grrr... Takan aku nak marah hubby with Abah sitting next to me kan. Sambil mengetap bibir, aku tanya hubby with suara yang agak keras "Sham! Iman dah tido?". Hubby memang pandai berpura2, dengan suara yg manja dan tak bersalah, dia jawab. "Belum lagi.". I thought he'll take that as a hint not to touch me! Rupanya tak!! Sakitnya hati..

Tak Sihat

Since thursday, I've not been feeling very well. Hubby kata aku demam urat. I think so too. The strenuous exercise regime is taking a toll on my body. I'm aching everywhere. Lepas balik from Sogo on Thursday (we were there for more than 5 hours!!), aku terus demam panas. Tu pun aku ajak Mok balik at 3.30pm. Kalau ikutkan Mok, memang dia takmau balik lagi. Agaknya Mok conceded sebab tengok muka aku yang dah pucat semacam.

Sampai rumah je, aku terus berbungkus. Malam tu, hubby kejutkan aku, cakap that my body was too warm, and ajak aku pegi klinik. Tak kuasa aku nak pegi klinik malam2 buta. The next morning, aku start muntah2. Asal makan je, aku akan muntah2. Angin teruk sangat2. Aku rasa ni angin puting beliung sesat kot. I didnt eat nor drink the whole day yesterday sebab my stomach couldnt take it.

Then, this morning, stomach aku dah better sikit. But still takleh nak makan banyak, aku sekadar makan untuk alas perut je. Dalam tak sihat and tak larat, aku ada hati jugak nak gi makan steambot dengan Sally kat Jusco AU2 hari ni. I thought steambot will be ok coz it's just rebus. Tapi rupanya tak. Baru suap semulut, terus rasa perut dilanda angin taufan. Aku cuma tengok Sally makan je. Lepas makan steambot, kita org terus balik rumah aku coz Sally wanted to copy few korean drama series dari aku.

Semalam, while terbaring atas katil, I heard Iffah asking Iman a question..

Iffah : Kakak, Adik tahu kenapa kakak suka Jacob. Sebab Abs Jacob kan?
Iman : Ha-ah.

Mama : ABS???!! When I was 15, I didnt even know what abs means, let alone at the age of 10! Oh anak mama...

Some of my FB friends thought Jacob is biskut Jacob's and ABS means anti breaking system.. hehe.. I would thought the same too if I didnt know about Iman's obsession with Taylor Lautner :D

Morning Run

I woke up at 6am today, preparing lunch boxes for the girls and sent them off to school at 6.50am. After sending them off to school, we (my hubby and I) went to the gym at KKlub. So far, that had been our routine every morning this week. I hope it will last. Today I ran 1.8km in 20 minutes with maximum heart rate at 170 per min. Yay!

Now, why am I so determined to loose weight? The truth is, it's not for me. Well, tipu la kalau aku takmau kurus, coz as it is, I've gained more than 20kg since before kawin. I'm motivated to exercise now sebab hubby has been diagnosed as having hypertension. Without novasc, his bp reading is 170/111. That's high! He's like a walking time bomb. Anytime boleh explode. So, nak taknak, I have to motivate myself to exercise so that aku boleh paksa dia exercise too.

Alhamdulillah, after 4 days of regular exercising, with medication, his bp dah dropped to 150/85. Aku hope his bp will drop further to 120/75 like mine without medication. He did that once few years back, hopefully he will be able to do it again this time.

I'm off to Sogo now. Mok wants to do grocery shopping sebab hari ni Sogo ada warehouse sale. Rasanya she wants to buy some stuff for my brother Harun, who's flying to Paris tomorrow. Harun will reside in Paris for 6 mths or so with his family.

Sambal belacan with habanero? (aku tak sure apa nama cili ni, a friend said it's habanero. tapi yg pastinya, it's so damn pedas!!)

Rolled Omellete & Opthamologist

Pagi tadi, after doing the lower body exercise (which aku rasa mcm nak mati coz I was dead tired), I made rolled omelette for hubby. I added mushrooms and watercress to the omellete which suprisingly tasted really good. Normally orang guna watercress dalam steambot but hari ni aku cooked it differently.

Last nite ayah Shariff came back from Cameron highland, so banyak la sayur and buah yang dia bawak balik termasuk la huge oranges which aku dah promised Iman nak buatkan Sicilian Orange cupcakes for her. Maybe not today kot coz I'm exhausted. Sicilian Orange cupcakes will have to wait til tomorrow.

Lepas exercising tadi, I went to Hospital Selayang with Iman. Iman kena pegi check mata coz her eyesight is pretty bad. Perfect eyesight is 6/6 but hers is 6/36 for right, 6/60 for left. But that's not conclusive yet, next month on 9th Feb, she has another appointment to see the opthamologist kat Selayang. Lepas ni kena buat more outdoor activities.





Ingredients (campak2 je)
4 large eggs
bunchful of watercress
few shitake mushrooms - minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soy sauce & a pinch of sugar ( if u like)

cara2
1. pukul telur, add salt, sugar, soy sauce and shitake mushrooms
2. panaskan square pan (tamago pan), leser pan dengan paper towel yg dicelup minyak, pour egg mixture (not too much), pastu tabur watercress. Gulung telur, then add lagi mixture telur tu sampai la habis semua digulung.
