Tired...

I wanted to update my blog lepas balik berlari tadi, but I was pressed for time. Balik from gym dah pukul 9.30am, then I had to prepare meal for hubby, pastu mandi, then terus jumpa Zarin yg petite tu :). I was supposed to meet her at 10am, but I arrived at 10.20am. Sorry Zarin for being late on our first date. Zarin bawak Hasya yang comel with her. K.Min, the apron and chocolate dah been delivered  :D

Balik from jumpa Zarin, ambik the girls from school. Iman was complaining of sesak nafas. Jerebu teruk sangat2 kat KL for the past few days. Even Iffah yang tak asthmatic tu pun complain of sakit dada. Adus! Ok la.. takyah pegi KAFA. Hubby disagreed, suruh hantar jugak the girls KAFA but I told him, I think the girls need a break (actually mama dia org yang malas.. muahahaaha). Then at 3pm, K.Siti came over untuk belajar buat Tiramisu. Sessi membuat Tiramisu finished at 5pm.

Masa K.Siti datang, rumah aku penuh dengan umat. My brother Izani and his daughter Sofia, who happens to be 1 today, ada kat rumah.Tadi aku kira, total penghuni rumah aku pada hari ini adalah seramai 9 orang, with 2 babies! Memang riuh la rumah. Maybe sebab tu jugak kot aku rasa letih. Letih melayan semua orang sampai aku boleh tertido while watching movie petang tadi. Bila dah maghrib, baru la bangun.

Alamak! Zarin! Kita lupa la nak ambik gambar.

Ok, the lemon cake yang aku buat tu, aku tak suka the texture (pound cake is very dense). I love cake yg gebu.  I love the taste of the lemon cake, but not the texture but maybe jugak sebab it's pound cake, which aku tweak to make it taste more like a lemon cake. I'm not a fan of pound cake.

The dragonfly came all the way from Perth. Thank you K.Min! :D

Buttermilk Pound Cake
Adapted from Allrecipes.com

Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbs lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease one 9 or 10 inch tube pan. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter with sugar. Mix in the eggs, one at time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the lemon and the vanilla extracts. Gently mix in flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes. Do not open oven door until after one hour. When cake begins to pull away from the side of the pan it is done. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

  8. wariz,

butter milk tu buat sendiri by adding 1 sudu besar cuka to 1 cup susu segar. biarkan for 10 minutes. then it's ready to be used. :)
