I'm Back!!

Setelah few days bertapa depan computer, akhirnya hari ni aku decided to keluar. hehe.. not that aku tak keluar langsung, but I was so engrossed with watching korean drama sampai rasa malas giler nak berlibur. Today Iffah came home crying sebab aku terlambat ambik dia. Dia keluar from KAFA pukul 10.45am, I woke up at 11.30am. Bila tersedar tu, terkejut giler! Kelam kabut aku ambik kunci kete, terus pegi KAFA. Sampai sana, Iffah dah takde. Ustaz dia cakap, guru besar antar Iffah balik. I went home, but she hasnt arrive yet. Risau dah masa tu, jantung aku rasa mcm nak terputus. Tak sampai 5 minute, dia pun sampai. Air mata berjurai2. I felt so bad... Alhamdulillah, nothing happened to her.

On Wednesday I went to have dinner with Roger kat Chilis KLCC (eh! Chili's lagi!). Wan pun ikut sama. Saje je ajak Wan ikut sebab malas nak balik sorang2 malam2 buta. Roger wanted to meet up after maghrib sebab she had a back to back meeting from petang. We had a good time. Iman and Iffah tagged along coz kesian nak tinggal dia orang kat rumah. Hubby went out to attend his friend's birthday party.

Balik from Chili's, dah pukul 11.30pm. Aku kena bayar parking RM8.00. Ingatkan dah mahal la parking yang aku bayar tu. Rupanya Roger kena bayar RM36!! I was like.. WTH! mahal giler!! Roger cakap usually dia parking kat tepi masjid KLCC, but just that day, dia malas nak parking situ. Susah jugak in her case, keje KLCC, tapi nak tunggu monthly pass tu, 5 tahun, so nak taknak, kena cari parking berbayar kat tempat lain.

Hubby told me that malam tu dia akan balik lambat becoz of the birthday celebration. But alih2 tengok pukul 12 mlm, dah balik. I was suprised! Kata nak balik 3-4am, tapi 12am dah terpacak depan rumah, ajak aku temankan dia pegi makan kat Deen. Rasa pelik je dia ajak makan kedai mamak malam2 buta. I asked him, what happened. Then dia bercerita about the birthday party. He thought the birthday party was just a harmless birthday party. Alih2 tengok, ada strippers, muslim strippers some more. Dah la the birthday party provided free flow of liquor.

If birthday boy is a non muslim, understandable la providing liquor to the guests. Tapi ni, birthday boy a muslim, guests yang datang pun melayu. It was an exclusive birthday party, venue kat VVIP karaoke place kat Bukit Bintang. Attendees mostly big guns kat one  O&G company here and few other directors of O&G companies, about 50 orang macam tu. According to hubby, dia rasa panas semcm duduk kat tempat tu. But he had no choice coz the birthday boy is his friend. Bila the strippers started pulling people to dance with them, dia terus cabut. I dunno what's happening to Malaysia now. I thought, as a muslim, birthday party is celebrated by memanjatkan kesyukuran pada Ilahi, that kita diberi peluang untuk still beribadat padaNya. *sigh*... hidup akhir zaman yang menyerupai zaman jahiliah.

Ya Allah! Peliharakanlah suami ku, anak2 ku, sedara mara ku, sahabat2 ku dan umat muslimin semua dari melakukan perkara2 yang Engkau laknat. Amin..

Dugong keletihan...

The truth is, for the past few days, I'm too tired to blog, to login facebook, to cook, or to do anything. I'm in movie marathon mode ie. lepak depan pc, connect the 500gb harddisk to the pc, and watch korean dramas. So far I've finished You're Beautiful, and I'm moving on to Cinderella Unni. Now tengah tunggu u-torrent to finish donwloading few more episodes.

Dugong ini akan kembali beraksi in the next few days...

Date with x-BF

Last nite, I went on a date with my x-bf. Lama betul tak keluar berdua tengok wayang dgn dia. Before kawin dulu, pantang ada movie baru, mesti tengok berdua punya. I remember our first movie together, it was Braveheart. I went with Nora. Thank you Nora, tolong temankan aku. We went to watch it at Cathay cinema belakang Central Market. Tu favourite panggung aku. Dulu dengan my xx-bf (xx-bf = the bf before my x-bf ni.. hehe) pun selalu lepak kat situ jugak.

I fell head over heel with Mel Gibson lepas tgk cite ni... hensem giler!!

What did we watch last nite? Prince of Persia!! Bila sebut Prince of Persia, teringat masa zaman kecik2 dulu. Tu la computer game yang paling femes sekali. Best giler main game tu. I was so excited nak gi tengok cite tu semlm. We went to Wangsa Walk, hoping to catch the 4.30pm movie, tapi semua sold out. So we bought tickets for show 9.30pm.I was kind of disappointed with the movie. I expected more, but erm.. rasa mcm the climax cite tu takde. At least my x-bf get to drool over Gemma Arterton.

Wesak Day

My day started as early as 10am. Aku ada lunch date with Anne, Nora, Ina & Elin kat Chili's KLCC. Anne nak belanja we all lunch. Ina brought along her 3 broods, Elin with her 2 boys, Aku with Iman and Iffah. Riuh rendah Chili's KLCC tu. We were there from 11am, sampai la pukul 3pm. Punya la lama kita orang lepak kat situ. Aku was a bit late sebab kena temankan hubby breakfast dulu. Eee.. geram betul. Time kita nak cepat la, dia nak bermanja2. Letih betul!!

Ni semua muka kekenyangan.

Ina and Elin had to leave early sebab Ina kena pegi airport ambik hubby dia yang baru sampai from Sudan. Elin pulak on call. So tinggal aku, nora and anne. Adik aku, Mas, joined us for a while pastu dia ambik iman and iffah bawak pegi tengok cerita Prince of Persia kat Wangsa Walk.

After lunch kat KLCC, Nora went to the gym, while aku and Anne walked to Restoran Rasa Sayang at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng for another appointment with SSP friends. This time meeting committee members untuk 20th Anniversary dinner on 24th July nanti.

Meeting kat Rasa Sayang finished at 6.45pm. I reached home at 7pm, thank you Eena for sending me home. Sampai rumah je, aku terus ke Jusco with hubby to buy chicken and salad. Hubby wanted me to cook dinner for his friends. Aku letih giler, but bila dia dah request mcm tu, hard to say NO. Balik from Jusco at about 8pm, I started cooking Nasi Kebuli. Dinner was served at 9.30pm. Yeah.. I know, it was a bit late for dinner, but nak buat mcm mana, dah start masak lambat. Mads, hubby's Danish friend, ate 5 pinggan of nasi kebuli. I was SHOCKED! Biar betul mamat Danish ni. He loves it so much.

Lepas dinner at about 10.40pm, Bob and Mads kena dera angkat sofa. We went to rumah K.Mei, hubby's sister, in Bangsar untuk ambik her sofabed. She wanted to disposed it sebab dia dah beli kerusi baru for her house. I wanted her sofa bed sebab bed tu dia beli masa kat NY. It's tough and durable sofa bed, bila duduk atas the bed, very comfy.

Aku ingatkan senang la nak mengangkat the sofa bed. Rupanya, susah giler. It was so heavy and my hubby's triton is a bit small for the sofa. Nasib baik boleh jugak load atas triton tu. Risau jugak aku takut the sofa jatuh. Alhamdulillah tak kena saman dengan polis. We reached home at about 1am. I was exhausted. Rasa kaki macam nak tercabut. Oh! Abg Zainul dapat chocolate that depicts flags of countries yang masuk World Cup. I wanted to take photo of it, but I didnt bring any camera. It's too cute to be eaten.

Aku on episode 3 of this korean drama. Semua ni aku tengok within a span of 2 days. Adik aku, Ayu, tolong copykan dalam my new harddisk, 500GB, more than 50 movies, tak termasuk drama korea and jepun and also mini series in english. Aku akan bertapa depan pc ni selama boleh.. muahahahha

Masak Lemak Kampung Udang

One of my favourite dish.Masa kecik2,  mok selalu masak lemak macam ni guna udang sungai yang kecik2. Pastu makan dengan pulut or nasik dagang. Peh!! memang makan tak ingat dunia la. Masa zaman kecik2 dulu, makan nasik 5 pinggan pun takpe, sebab takan gemuk. Sekarang ni, memang terpaksa jaga apa yang masuk dalam mulut. Nanti termasuk dalam senarai calun "The Biggest Loser Asia" kang susah pulak.

How to cook masak lemak ni? Err.. please take note that aku masak menggunakan udang besar size XL. Susah la nak dapat udang sungai. Udang sungai and udang laut, rasa memang lain. I prefer udang sungai. Cuma zaman sekarang ni, mana nak cari, unless pegi memukat sendiri.

Recipe

Bahan2 (blend)
15 ulas bawang merah
5 ulas bawang putih
3 inci halia
2 inci kunyit hidup
2 tbs cili giling

2 batang serai - ketuk
1 kg udang sungai/udang laut
1/2 kg santan pekat

2 1/2 tbs salt
4 tbs sugar

cara2
1. Masukkan santan dan bahan yang dah di blend dalam periuk, biarkan sampai menggelegak.
2. masukkan udang dan serai. bila udang dah 3/4 masak, masukkan gula dan garam.
3. kalau tak suka kuah yg pekat, masukkan dalam 1/2 cup of water. Bila udang dah masak, boleh la hidang dan makan dgn nasik yg panas or makan dengan pulut.

AirAsia Free Tickets

Last weekend semua orang (aku la tu) went crazy over Airasia free tickets. Initially, I wanted to go somewhere closer, maybe around Msia je, tapi pikir2, kat mana aku nak pegi, semua tempat dah pegi. Last2 aku booked tiket to Ho Chi Minh. Masa aku booking tu, tiket pegi balik termasuk tax was RM100 per person. Tapi setelah berdiscuss dgn K.Mei and hubby, dia orang pulak takmau ke sana. Dia orang kata kesian kat the kids, they wont be able to enjoy the trip.

Ades! Seksa aku nak check tickets to tempat lain. Sadly London tak termasuk dalam free tickets tu.. Aku dah siap berangan nak pegi London. Accomodation dah free, provided aku pegi dengan KMei la. Kalau pegi dengan K.Mei, then aku boleh menumpang kat apartment NST kat tepi Harold's. Bila check tickets to London, it was selling at almost RM8k for 4 pax. Kim salam ler aku nak spend that much on flight tickets. Tak mampu aku.

Pastu Abang Zainol suggested Gold Coast. Argh! seksa nak masuk the booking page Airasia. Aku bertapa depan PC from 7am til 3pm untuk masuk to their booking page. Bila check harga tiket, it was selling at RM500 person termasuk tax and baggage. From just 7 orang yang nak pegi, now dah jadi 15 orang. So for 12 people, we paid RM6000. Suhaila booked her tickets a day after kita org and she had to pay RM3300 for 3 tickets. Phew! alhamdulillah kita orang dapat murah giler.

Now aku pening bila memikirkan mcm mana nak handle the group next year. Hopefully everything run smoothly. We're going end of March, balik 1st week of April. Memang bukan time cuti sekolah. Maybe time exam kot. Tak kesah la.. Kalau beli tiket time cuti sekolah, kim salam ler nak dapat RM0 fare. Anyway, Iman and Iffah not taking any major exam next year. Ponteng sekolah la nampak gayanya.. hehe.

Oleh kerana aku dah masak beria2 last week sebab MIL ada kat rumah, this week aku nak masak simple je. Today masak ikan bakar, sayur air bayam and prawn pasta.

FREE Lunch @ Chili's, Empire Subang

I made arrangement dengan hubby to send and pick up the girls from school so that aku boleh pegi melepak kat Chili's. Since hari ni a bit warm, I dont feel like driving. So I asked Sally to picked me up kat LRT station Kelana Jaya. We were very lucky coz it was easy for us to get a parking spot. Our lunch date was at 2.10pm. Aku ingatkan kena pegi sharp at 2.10pm, rupanya tidak. Boleh pegi awal rupanya. Oleh kerana aku was punctual, I had to wait for about 10 minutes before we were seated.

To kill time, I read "The Kite Runner", buku yang dah lama aku beli, tapi belum berkesempatan utk baca lagi. I was so immersed reading it that it was hard to put it down. I love it!! Betul la apa Speda cakap, once dah baca buku tu, susah nak put it down. I'm gonna spend the next few days, menghabiskan cerita itu.

The person to complain if u have any problem.. hehehe.. habis la warque lepas ni :)

What did I order for lunch? We were given 2 sets of menu. I ordered Honey cipotle ribs, sally pulak makan club sandwich. Appetizer cuma ada 1 je, which was buffalo wings. Pastu we were served soups with jacob's weetameal (what??? not garlic bread.. huwaaa). Do remember, this is just a mock run, maka cant expect much anyway. On wednesday, bila bukak, then only they will serve full blown menu. The ribs were superb, tender and moist. I was one happy customer tadi.. hehehe. I was too full, sampai nak jalan pun tak larat.. huwaaa.. Sally pun kenyang giler.

Invitation to Role Play @ Chili's Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang

When Warque sent me a message in my facebook inbox, asking me whether I want a ticket to Role Play. My reply was "Role Play? Movie baru ke?".. hehe.. Punya la blurnya aku ni. Warque told me that Role Play is makan free, invation only to VIPs. Aku ni termasuk dalam senarai VIP la tu.. hahahha.. Anyway, I got two tickets, one for lunch on 24th May, the other one is for dinner on 25th May. Aku ajak my hubby to temankan, tapi dia takmau... huwaaa... sedih giler la ni! Last sekali, aku terpaksa ajak orang lain. Thank you Sally sebab sudi temankan aku makan free.

I went to Empire Shopping Gallery yesterday to pick up the tickets. Terserempak pulak dengan Fida and her broods. Fida cakap, aku ni boleh dijumpa kat merata2. hehehe.. I take it as a compliment. Ye la, Subang dgn Melawati punya la jauh. Sanggup tu aku pegi Subang, semata2 nak ambik tiket makan free tu.

Before aku lupa, pisang yang aku goreng untuk buat Pisang Kaki tu, can also be eaten mcm tu je. K.Amy suggested dusting the  caramalised bananas with cinnamon. Shariff prefers to eat it coated with sugar.

Pisang Lemak Manis yang dah siap caramalised. To those yang malas nak add susu cair to it, can just coat it with brown sugar or white sugar and dust it with cinnamon.

Shariff, kusyuk betul makan.

Body Shop Sale

Yesterday, I went to Jusco Wangsa Maju with mok, pastu lalu depan kedai bodyshop, then I saw that they are having huge discounts on all products, members will get additional 10% discount on top of it. Dah lama jugak aku tak beli barang bodyshop ni sebab kat Msia ni punya la mahal. Padahal masa aku student dulu, shower gel, lipstick, lotion dan segala mak nenek body care aku guna bodyshop sebab murah giler. Bila balik Msia, tengok harga, rasa nak terkeluar bijik mata.

Dulu, aku suka guna grapefruit showergel, which cost about AUD$10 or maybe less, cant really remember. Tu botol yang besar. Bila balik sini, tengok shower gel yang sama selling for more than RM40, terus aku tukar my shower gel to followme (hehe.. that's an exaggeration, I'm not using followme :) ).

So, what did I get for myself yesterday?

Strawberry Body Polish

Instead of strawberry, I bought promegranate. It was selling for RM38, but with 70% +10% (for members), I paid RM9.80.

Cant remember apa nama product ni, but the soap comes with a small pouch that works as body scrub. The original price was RM69, but I paid only RM18.60. Total damage = RM28.40. Yay!! I'm actually proud of myself coz I didnt go overboard when I shopped at bodyshop yesterday. I only picked items marked 70% off. Phew! nasib baik tak tergoda dengan barang lain.

One more day to go!! To those yang nak beli barang bodyshop, better head to the nearest outlet before it's gone.

Breakfast in Terengganu

Nowadays, kalau nak breakfast kat KT, we will go to a small gerai depan bangunan Sinar di Ladang. K.noor (my SIL) yang introduced the gerai. Kita orang pegi mula2 tu sebab nak cari paung goreng. Memang sedap paung goreng kat situ. They have quite a selection of makanan untuk breakfast. Ada Nasi Dagang (urgh! cant take any more of those), Nasi Kunyit, Nasi Lemak, Pulut Cawang (my favourite), Laksam, Mee Goreng, Meehoon Goreng, Sate with Nasi Himpit, kuih2 and of course, Paung Goreng!

Kalau nak pegi makan kat situ, kena pegi pagi sebab ramai betul orang. Parking is limited sebab gerai tu tepi rumah orang. Yang bestnya, kalau duduk situ, rasa nyaman je sebab banyak pokok, unlike kat atas Pasar Payang. Kalau makan kat Pasar Payang, peluh macam ge babi (sweating like a pig) as my SIL, K.Mei, would say it, I wouldnt though.. hahahhaa..

Balik Terengganu For The Weekend..

Last week on Friday, tiba-tiba, hubby cakap, "Jom balik Terengganu!". That was before Friday prayer, two hours later, lepas prayer, kita orang pun balik la ke Terengganu. Nasib baik anak ada dua orang je, so packing is quite easy. Kalau anak ada 4 orang, mau pengsan kalau hubby bagi short notice macam tu. The reason we all balik was because hubby nak ambik his mom, and dia pun memang ada keje kat Terengganu. But because of the short stay in Terengganu, aku tak sempat nak update blog as promised during my stay there.

Since it was a short stay, jadual kita orang memang packed! And guess what?? Aku kena masak!!! Huwaaaa.... Even balik for 2 hari, pun kena masak jugak. I told hubby, I have no complaint about cooking for his mom, cuma .... *sigh*... malas la nak cakap. Seriously! aku memang takde complaint la about cooking, cuma kadang2 sakit hati jugak tengok individu lain yg bersenang lenang, lepas aku dah habis masak, duduk kat meja makan untuk makan je. I told hubby, if I didnt cook, then his mom will have to do the cooking. Walaupun aku penat, takpe, aku rela masak supaya his mom tak letih. Argh! rasa mcm nak tulis lagi, but aku malas ler nak bermasam muka dgn orang. GRrr......

Anyway, hari ni aku buat Pisang Kaki for tea. Enjoy!! :D

Sayur Kolok

What is sayur kolok? Aku pun tak pernah dengar before. Hari ni baru aku tau apa sayur kolok tu. Rupanya sayur lemak jambu golok (buah gajus), petai, keladi, kacang panjang, sotong, and a bit of belacan. Today first time aku masak sayur kolok. MIL belikan jambu golok kat Pasar Payang before balik ke KL. Yes, MIL is in KL, duduk kat rumah aku sekarang. Hubby and his sister, K.Mei, memang suka sangat2 makan sayur kolok ni. So tadi, pagi2 lagi, aku pegi ke Jusco AU2 searching for sotong sebab one of the main ingredient dalam sayur kolok ni ialah sotong.

Sayur Kolok 

Recipe

Bahan2

santan - 1/2kg

1/2 cup air

Jambu Golok - 1/2kg

kacang panjang - 100gm (potong dalam 2 inci )

petai - satu papan

keladi - 100gm

sotong - 200gm

1/2 tsp belacan

2 biji bwg besar - potong 4

1 biji cili merah - belah 4

garam/gula

cara2

1. jambu golok tu cincang and ramas buang air. then rendam dalam air garam for 1/2 hour, tapis dan set aside

2. didihkan santan, masukkan 1/2 cup air, bawang besar dan sotong.

3. bila sotong dah 3/4 masak, masukkan belacan yg dah ditumbuk, kacang panjang, keladi, petai dan jambu golok.

4. biarkan mendidih sampai kacang empuk, masukkan garam, gula dan cili merah
