Grilled Dory

As usual, I got to run. So, this is going to be a short entry. Hari ni hubby pepagi buta lagi dah ada meeting, maka terpaksa la menapak kat gym awal. If possible, I wanna spend at least 40 minutes kat gym. I'll continue lepas balik dari gym nanti ye.







Recipe
Dory fillet - 800gm (I bought the one in Jusco), pat dry using kitchen towel.
1 biji lemon - take the zest and juice
1 tsp thymes
1 tsp black pepper
4-6 tbs olive oil
salt

cara2
1. just mix lemon, olive oil, thymes, black pepper and salt together, rub against the fillet.
2. marinate for 15 minutes or so.
3. grill atas dapur.

Actually boleh buat lemon and butter sauce, but aku malas plus I'm counting my calorie intake so kena la cut on butter dan yg sewaktu dengannya.

    what a coincidence i pun plan nak buat grilled dory ni malam karang and plan nk buat lemon n butter sauce tapikan since u mentioned about cutting down the calories...errrr i pun tk jadilah buat sauce tu :)
    nk tanya skit, i tk pernah taruk thymes tu..ada beza ke? normally i use lemon,black pepper n salt je.. kalau ada beza nak gak ah taruk petang karang

    we think alike.. hehe..

    bila u letak lemon zest and thymes, rasa grilled fish tu lain sikit. lemon, blackpepper and salt, is a bit bland, but with lemon zest and thymes, dia add a wonderful taste to the fish. maybe what u can do is, to buat 2 types, satu without the zest and thymes, satu lagi, letak both.

    today i makan sandwich tuna je.. malasnya nak masak. plus, i have ketupat sotong in the making :)

  3. sejak jumpa dory kat tmc (anak giant) here.. rajin jgk bikin grilled dory.. best sbb menu yg senang utk ini orang yg lembap & malas.. marinate, potong sayur & nah amik masuk oben..

    ohh thymes.. nnti nak beli la.. been using oregano je selama2 ini.. malas nak beli berbotol2 herbs tu.. must try ni..

    Mana masakan ikang yang diborong masa balik kg tu? hehe...

    Ikan dory ni anytime aje boleh fix kan? Itu yg senang lagi menyenangkan hidup kita...

  6. K.lili, belum Ada kesempatan lagi nk masak ikan2 tu plus kemalasan yg amat sgt pun Ada jugak.. Hehe

    I think kalau my mum tau, sure lepas ni dia takmau dah beli ikan utk I. She bought ikan merah, cermin, kembung, selar n sardine. Tapikan, ikan dory jugak yg I masak ;)

    Dory memang sedap and sesuai masak camno pon, kan? Your grilled dory looks ohhh.. sungguh yummy! Makan lak dengan lemon and butter sauce (yang terlarang itu :D), nikmat!

    * saya dulu selalu beli Dory banyak-banyak kat Giant, buat stok :)

    yup! dory, masak apa pun sedap even masak sweet and sour. dulu, i selalu jugak stock up on dory. pastu, lepas incident freezer I ter off masa kita org balik cuti2 malaysia to terengganu, menyebabkan dory, dan segala mak nenek makanan dalam freezer besar tu rosak, i terus taubat takmau dah stock up on food. sayang kalau freezer problem.

    ps : lemon and butter sauce sgt2 terlarang :D
