A New Blog To Read

Today, I found out that Mel ada blog. To those yang nak visit her blog, this is the link http://yarnatheart.blogspot.com/. I love Mel's fairies, so beautiful. I got to learn to make those fairies one of these days. She's into crochet and baking now. How I wish I'm that rajin!

Another cinnabon day for me. Aku baked another batch of cinnabon, and Kirin (Ausmat 7) came over to taste some of my cinnabon. hehe.. Semalam Rodd (yes k.min, ur Rodd) datang ambik some of the cinnabon. Rasa seronok pulak sebab ada frens yang drop by, ambik food yg aku masak. Thank you Allah for the blessing.

I wanted to scan Iman's baby photos, but sampai sekarang tak terbuat lagi. Maybe one of these days. Ni gambar Tiramisu yg aku buat a day before Iman's bday. It was a bit runny, and kena simpan 2 hari dalam fridge, baru set. Nevertheless, it was good! hehe..

My 1st attempt at making Tiramisu. In the 1st picture, it was a bit runny sebab baru je duduk dalam peti for 24 hours. The 2nd picture, it was great! The taste was also much better than the day before. Alhamdulillah jadi.

Cinnabon

INGREDIENTS
• 1 cup warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
• 2 eggs, room temperature
• 1/3 cup margarine, melted
• 4 1/2 cups bread flour... Read More
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
• 1/3 cup butter, softened

• 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1/4 cup butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/8 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS
1. Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select dough cycle; press Start.
2. After the dough has doubled in size turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, cover and let rest for 10 minutes. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
3. Roll dough into a 16x21 inch rectangle. Spread dough with 1/3 cup butter and sprinkle evenly with sugar/cinnamon mixture. Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls. Place rolls in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
4. Bake rolls in preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes. While rolls are baking, beat together cream cheese, 1/4 cup butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Spread frosting on warm rolls before serving.

Happy 9th Bday to Dearest Iman

My daughter is 9. Macam tak caya je, kejap je anak aku dah masuk 9 tahun. Still ingat lagi how small she was upon birth. Now dah jadi anak dara. I love you so much sayang. Aku still ingat lagi how sad Hubby was when Dr. Haliza (yang passed away about 1 mth back) told him that Iman cuma ada 50-50 chances to survive. She was so small, frail, could barely breathe on her own, was on the ventilation machine for 4 days in ICU. And now, she's thriving, no more a baby.

Aku nak upload gambar2 masa dia baby, but will do that later coz today I'm too exhausted. Ni one of the dishes yang aku masak today.

Late Dinner

Saturday was pretty hectic for me. Pagi2 lagi aku dah kena bangun and pegi pasar beli barang untuk masak today. Since Mr. Muscle Man a.k.a Hubby is away, maka aku terpaksa mengupah 2 orang dayang baru untuk temankan dan angkat barang. Hehe.. paham2 je la sapa dayang2 tu. Mula2 both of them refused to tag along. Tapi selepas aku bertukar menjadi Mama Dragon, mereka terus berubah pikiran. hahaha.. menjadi jugak taktic aku tu.

Masa tengah shopping kat carrefour dengan dayang2 aku tu, jumpa dengan adik aku Harun. Dia pun tengah beli barang dengan Ida, his wife, Abbas and their only daughter, Zulaikha. Zulaikha sekarang ni gemuk yang amat. Aku rasa mau over 20kg, and she's only 2 yrs old. Boleh jadi the next bouncer lepas Mulkan (Anak kakak aku, shima).

Balik from shopping, aku kena migraine. Terus tido, and rasanya aku tido more than 3 hours. Bila bangun tido, kepala still sakit yang amat. Tak tau ler pesal. Aku rasa sebab yesterday was extra hot. Bangun tido rasa grumpy giler. Pastu tiba2 teringat yang aku nak kena beli ladyfingers (sponge biscuit for tiramisu). Bila sampai kat Bagus Bakery, tengok dah tutup. Frust sungguh. So terpaksa la telepon Nora, tanya dia kat mana nak beli biskut tu. She offered hers since dia ada lagi leftovers from her tiramisu projek 2 weeks ago.

Since kita orang nak makan kat Chilli's KLCC with Anne, maka aku terus la ambik biskut tu from nora and we went to KLCC together. It was a fabulous dinner, aku minum Ice Lemon Tea sampai tak hengat dunia. Maklumla, drinks kat Chilli's kan bottomless. Anne belanja dinner, thank you Anne. Mula2 nak pegi awal sikit, so that boleh kecek Warque for free dessert. But Anne pulak habis kelas lambat. Unfortunately for us, yesterday Warque habis shift kat Chilli's pukul 6pm... sob sob.. Aku tak dapat free dessert.

Nevertheless, it was a great dinner. Balik from Chillis, aku terus dengan projek Tiramisu and Puding Buih aku. Later aku akan update gambar :)

Not A Good Day

I'm extremely exhausted. Dari pukul 9am-10pm keluar rumah. I had to run few errands, plus nak kena layan student aku yg tersgt2 la bengapnya, sungguh menyakitkan hati. But I dont wanna bad mouth my student tu, tak berkat nanti aku ajar dia. Walaupun dalam hati aku meluap2 rasa bengkak and sakit hati.

Today Iman and Iffah balik rumah jalan kaki. Aku bengang yang teramat sangat, dah la aku tengah hot tadi, bertambah2 la rasa marah aku. Maid aku ni pun satu. Aku dah pesan, balik la rumah mak aku yg just 5 minutes walk from the school. Tapi tak, ikut jugak cakap iman and iffah, nak balik rumah sendiri. So tadi lepas sekolah, dia org bertiga jalan kaki balik rumah. Rumah kita org tak la jauh sgt, about 1km from school, aku pun tak sure. Tapi yang pastinya almost 1/2 jam jugak la jalan. Aku pretty sure, kalau Hubby tau, sure mengamuk pakcik tu.

Dah la tu, makcik ton (my maid) dok cerita pasal a lady in a red car, pusing 2-3 kali, offering them a ride. But they refused the lady. Makcik ton cakap the lady somewhat looked familiar, but she cant recall where she's seen the lady before. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! geram gila aku dengan makcik ton. Kalau la dia tu baru je keje dengan aku, mau aku buang terus dia. But bila pikirkan dia dah keje dgn family aku more than 22 years, memang la tak sampai hati. Aku nak meluahkan perasaan, tapi tak tau kat sapa aku nak luahkan perasaan geram ni.

Oleh kerana aku busy sgt today, aku tak sempat nak masak apa2. Anak2 pun makan roti je. Tadi balik from work, aku singgah kat Jusco AU2, belikan dia org chicken terayaki. Kat bawah ni gambar daging yg aku masak beberapa kurun yang dulu. I wanna share the recipe, simple and healthy, sangat bagus sebab aku guna minyak sikit je.

Daging Goreng



Bahan2
1/2 kg sliced beef (australian beef)

5 clove garlic - crushed
1/2 tbs turmeric powder
2 tsp salt
1 tbs sugar
onion, chili for garnishing

Cara2
1. mula gaul daging dgn garam and kunyit.
2. masukkan 1 tbs minyak dalam kuali, goreng bwg putih sampai garing.
3. masukkan beef, goreng for about 8-10 mins. since i used sliced beef, so kejap je dah masak. add a bit of water
4. masukkan sugar, then onion and chili. dah siap ! :D

Ikea Cafe

Aku rasa, kalau kira hours aku melabuhkan punggung kat IKEA cafe tu, mau boleh masuk Guiness World Book of Records. Punya la lamanya aku melepak kat situ, many times pulak tu. Ni baru je balik from lepaking with Anne, Azreen (adik Anne) & Sally. Actually nak ambik jubah and tudung yg aku kirim kat Anne for my mum. Dah almost every week pulak aku bercanda dengan Anne.. hehe. Ye la, asyik dok kirim barang je kat Anne. Alhamdulillah aku ada sahabat sebaik Anne .. hehe

Today Hubby balik for lunch from Paka. Dia bawak his GM sama. So nak ke taknak, terpaksa la masak something yang lain dari yang lain. Since aku dah lama tak masak nasik dagang, maka tadi, dengan semangat yang berkobar2, aku buat nasik dagang. Kebetulan pulak my parents ada kat KL, aku buat byk terus, kirim separuh ke rumah parents aku. Lepas makan kat rumah, Hubby terus ke JB balik and will come home on Sunday.. huhuhu.. dah almost a week aku kena tinggal.

Ni nasik dagang tengah hari tadi. Err.. actually, ni dah kira semlm sebab now dah pukul 12.30am. Hubby aku ni very fussy when it comes to nasik dagang. Alhamdulillah so far, kalau aku buat nasik dagang, dia akan puji. Ye la, being brought up in Terengganu, he's spoil for choices when it comes to nasik dagang.

Nasi Dagang + Ikan Tongkol + Acar Mentah



Nasik Dagang

bahan2
5 pot beras siam wangi AAA
2 1/2 pot air
2 1/2 pot santan (ambik from 1 biji kelapa)
daun pandan
2 tbs halba
2 inches halia - julienne
10 biji bwg merah - potong nipis
2 1/2 tbs garam (masuk dalam santan)

cara2
1. rendam beras for about 5-8 hours.
2. then kukus beras for about 1/2 hour, until 3/4 masak.
3. keluarkan dari kukusan, then masuk dalam bekas besar, tuang air, kacau sampai air kering dan nasi sejuk.
4. masukkan balik nasi dalam kukusan, then tabur halba, halia and bawang.
5. kukus sampai nasi masak dan jadi gemuk :)
6. tuang nasi dalam bekas besar, masukkan santan, kacau/harung sampai nasi tak berwap

Gulai Ikan Tongkol
bahan2
2 kg ikan tongkol besar, potong 3-4, rebus dengan nisan, garam and asam keping.

bahan untuk blend
25 biji bwg merah (i used 5 biji bwg besar)
10 ulas bwg putih
2 inci halia
3 inches lengkuas
12 tbs cili boh
1 tbs belacan
5 tbs rempah nasik dagang

santan 1 kg
nisan
garam, gula

cara2
1. masukkan santan dalam periuk, tuang bahan blend. masukkan dalam 5-8 cups of air
2. masak sampai santan naik minyak.
3. bila santan dah naik minyak, masukkan nisan, garam, gula, ikan tongkol dan air rebusan ikan tongkol.
4. masak for about 10-15 minutes, then masukkan cili padi, belimbing buluh

Ingatkan bila dah tak demam, maknanya aku dah 100% recover. Rupanya tak. My body still feels weak. Kalau boleh, nak je aku tido sepanjang hari, recuperate. Last nite aku tido at 4am. Mula2 nak tido awal, pastu terpegang buku cerita dan terbaca buku cerita. Maka terlalut sampai la pukul 4am. Banyaknya TER aku tu. Alhamdulillah aku bangun pagi and send kids to KAFA.

Ni pasta gambar pasta yang aku masak a while ago. My kids love pasta. Anything to do with pasta, they love it! Kat dalam store simpan barang aku, ada more than 3 bungkus pasta mcm2 jenis. Err.. for a malay home, aku rasa memang pelik la kan. Ke tak? Maybe aku je yang perasan.. hehe. Kadang2 dah bosan jugak masak the conventional pasta sauce such as alfredo, carbonara or bologne. Sekali sekala, nak jugak try something different and aku pulak jenis suka mereka cipta recipe sesuka hati, pastu tak ingat apa aku campak dalam kuali. Kat bawah ni satu contoh yang baik. But luckily Speda mintak recipe, so aku ingat la apa aku campak dalam pasta kat bawah ni. Sedap! :D

Curry Fusilli with Boiled Spinach



500gm fusilli - boiled, drained.

bahan2
5 clove garlic - crushed
1 biji bwg besar - cubed
500gm minced chicken/beef
3 tomatoes - diced
1 green and red capsicum
1 carrot - julienne
1-2 tbs rempah kari
handful of baby spinach - boiled with a bit of salt, pastu hiris nipis2

cara2
1. masukkan 6-8 tbs olive oil dalam kuali, then goreng minced chicken/beef sampai garing, bila dah garing, masukkan rempah kari, garlic and bwg besar.
2. then masukkan tomatoes, capsicum and carrot. add salt
3. bila sayur dah a bit layu, baru masukkan fusilli and spinach.
4. hidang with daun kari and parmesan cheese :D

Malas Mode

Setelah more than 1 week of sakit, finally today, aku dah ok. Alhamdulillah. Semlm suara still serak, ala2 rockers gitu but today dah 95% recover. Malangnya, mood untuk memasak or berblogging masih hilang, dok mari lagi.

Semalam Hubby pegi Johor and will be back maybe on thursday or friday. Kesian aku, sunyi lagi. Adik aku, Ayu, came back from Terengganu semalam, berbekalkan 5 kg sotong. Bestnya!! Tak sabar aku nak masak ketupat sotong/sotong pulut. Iffah loves sotong pulut. Tak tau la pesal, cinta sungguh dia kat sotong pulut. Kebetulan pulak, now musim orang candat sotong. Sotong size XXL, yang kat KL jual about RM20 perkg, is selling for about RM8-RM9 a kg now kat Terengganu. Tu yang mak aku tolong belikan 5kg. Thank you mok.

Soy Chicken with Veges


Recipe ni senang sangat, ala2 masak kicap, but kicap tak byk pun letak. Dalam gambar ni veges over cooked sebab aku tak ingat nak snap pic lepas masak.


Bahan2
Ayam 1 ekor - aku guna chicken wings
8 clove garlic - crushed
3 inches ginger - either julienne or crushed
2 tbs oil
4 tbs oyster sauce
2 tbs sweet soy sauce/dark soy sauce
1 tbs corn flour
garam, gula
baby corn, sweet pea, carrot - aku ran out of sweet pea, so aku guna kacang panjang, but tak sesedap sweet pea

Cara2
1. tumis bwg putih, add water and chicken
2. pastu masukkan halia, masak ayam til fully cook.
3. then masukkan sos tiram, soy sauce, corn flour, veges, salt & sugar
4. bila agak2 veges dah 3/4 cooked, then boleh la hidangkan.

Geram yang Amat

Aisey! rasa mcm tak percaya that aku tak update blog for 2 days. Weekend was so busy for me. Semalam nak update blog, tapi sebab aku marah sgt2, terus tak jadi. Nak tau pesal aku marah semalam? Iman and Iffah wanted to go to Nuri's (Maulud's son) bday party. Since aku free semlm, so we (Hubby & I) decided to hantar dia org to rumah Maulud kat Kota Damansara awal. By 12 noon, dia org and their Aunty Mas dah sampai kat sana.

Pastu we were supposed to picked them up, tapi by 3pm tak start lagi bday party, so aku cakap kat Mas that biar dia org balik dgn another brother of mine, Nadzri. But awal2 aku dah pesan, pukul 8pm, kena balik la sebab Iman and Iffah ada KAFA today in the morning. Tengok2, pukul 10pm tak balik2 lagi. Bila telepon, dia org dok sibuk lagi main. Bengang betul aku. Pastu aku called Hubby suruh ambik Iman and Iffah since he was at Mount Kiara area meeting up his friend kat sana. Dia pulak sibuk katanya.. Grrrr... Geram giler aku! Iman and Iffah balik rumah last nite almost 11.30pm. I was too angry to membebel.

Then pagi tadi, pukul 7.30am, Iffah dengan muka nak menangis cakap dia penat sangat nak pegi sekolah. Lagila aku bengang. Geram! Geram! Geram!.. Habis semua positive energy aku hilang..

Finally..

Alhamdulillah, finally aku feel much better than yesterday. Eventhough kepala still weng lagi, but at least takde la se weng semlm. But kalau berdiri lama2, still rasa giddy. Even as aku menaip now, jari terketar2 lagi. hehe.. syndrome orang tua tak habis lagi agaknya.

Featured recipe today, Ikan Tenggiri Tumis Pedas. Aku will just cut and paste from my FB. Otak still beku lagi. Dah berapa kali masuk microwave, takleh defrost jugak.

Ikan Tenggiri Tumis Pedas



Bahan2
4 keping ikan tenggiri - lumur garam and goreng garing

20 biji bwg merah (aku guna bwg besar 5 biji)
5 ulas bwg putih
4 tbs cili boh
3 tbs kicap manis
gula, garam
bwg besar,cili merah, tomato for garnishing

Cara2
1. tumis cili boh, then masukkan bwg yg dah blend.
2. then masukkan gula, it will caramelised and turned dark.
3. masukkan air sikit, then baru add kicap manis, garam.
4. bila agak2 dah kering, masukkan ikan tenggiri dan bwg besar, cili merah, tomato.
5. kalau nak, boleh tabur bwg goreng sikit.

Coughing

Today, I'm an eighty year old lady... Coughing non stop and my body aching. Last nite I had difficulty falling asleep and by 5.30am, I was wide awake. Argh!! I'm aging that fast?? Anyway, I'm ecstatically happy today coz my Hubby came home this morning. I woke up the kids for their Subuh prayer, then made a wake up call to Hubby. I was quite suprised coz he was already wide awake. He said he woke up early this morning coz he had an appointment with his customers in Paka at 9am. Then 15 minutes later, after I hung up, he called, "Can you please open the door?". I was like.. what? Otak ku blur kejap. Nevertheless, I'm a happy "old" lady today.. hehe

Sambung tulis recipe lagi. Still malas nak tulis panjang sebab otak ku still beku, belum defrost lagi. Today, the featured recipe is Ayam Kerutup.

Kerutup Ayam



Aisey! tak jumpa pulak recipe ni dalam FB aku. Later aku update. Now cam pening je duduk depan PC lama2, maybe sebab baru 30% recover.

ok, here it is.

bahan2
1 ekor ayam - potong 16

Bahan Blend
20 ulas bwg merah
10 ulas bwg putih
3 inci halia
2 inci lengkuas
6-8 tbs cili boh
kerisik - from 1/2 biji kelapa

santan 1/2 kg
2 asam keping
1 keping nisang sederhana
garam, gula
5 tbs rempah kerutup.
rempah kasar (kayu manis, bunga lawang, bunga cengkih, pelaga)
2 btg serai - ketuk
bwg besar - 3 biji, just belah sikit je kat atas and bawah bwg tu.
cili merah - 4 biji, potong panjang

cara2
1. panaskan minyak dalam periuk, tumis rempah kasar.
2. then masukkan bahan blend, goreng sampai garing.
3. masukkan cili boh, tumis sampai garing, then masukkan rempah kerutup dan sedikit air. then masukkan kerisik, asam keping, nisang and garam.
4. once rempah dah garing, masukkan ayam, santan pekat, serai. masukkan dalam 1/2 cup of air.

5. masak sampai naik minyak. masukkan bwg besar dan cili merah for about 10 minutes, then boleh la tutup api.

Aku suka kerutup yg basah, bukan kering mcm rendang. Satu lagi, kerutup ni kalau dah 2-3 hari, lagi sedap. Sama la mcm gulai kampung. Paling best makan dengan roti.

Ikan Percik

Since hari ni aku still tak sihat lagi, so mood nak tulis blog still takde. Last nite aku tido more than 15 hours, bangun pagi ni, baru rasa a bit better. Alhamdulillah anak2 dara aku rajin melayan mama yang sakit. Semlm pegi klinik, doctor kata kalau still demam tonite, kena buat blood test esok takut denggi sebab aku demam panas menggigil. Takut jugak kalau kena denggi. Thank you Iman and Iffah for looking after Mama last nite. I love both of you so much!!

Percik Ikan



Bahan2
4-5 ikan kembung/selar/bawal

3 tbs cili boh
15-20 ulas bwg merah
3 inci halia
1 kg santan
4 batang serai - ketuk
1 tsp serbuk kunyit
1 tsp asam jawa - ambik air
8 tbs sugar
2 1/2 tbs salt

cara2
1. blend bwg dan halia, masukkan dalam santan
2. masukkan cili boh, kunyit, air asam jawa dan serai dalam santan, masak santan sampai jadi pekat dan keluar minyak. Masukkan gula dan garam
3. Panggang ikan, baste with gravy every 3-5 mins.
4. Bila ikan dah masak, bolehla dihidangkan :)

Down With Fever

Last nite, aku takleh tido. Dunno why, pukul 3am aku dah terjaga. Pastu cuba jugak nak tido, but tak berjaya, pulah cawah (Sally betul ke ni?) skali. Rasanya aku dapat tido balik dalam 5am kot. Badan masa tu dah start panas, and tekak gatal yang amat, coughing non stop.

*Sigh*.. pesal la bila dah makin tua ni, senang sangat kena mcm2 sakit. Dulu masa sekolah, nak demam, batuk or selsema memang susah sangat2. Maybe dalam 5-6 tahun sekali kot. Sekarang ni, 2-3 bulan mesti sakit. Dah la demam, badan aku pun sakit2 jugak. Aku buat bodyforlife program semlm. Nak jalan, kaki rasa mcm kena glued together, pastu mcm pakai kaki plastic, sebab terketar2 mcm kaki orang tua.. hehehe.. nak tergelak pulak.

Semlm for the first time, Iman and Iffah balik from sekolah naik teksi. Hubby is currently away, takde orang nak ambik dia orang sekolah. So on the way to work petang semlm, aku drop maid aku kat sekolah dia org, and they went home naik teksi. Actually takde la jauh pun rumah dgn sekolah, dalam 1 km kot. But zaman sekarang ni, takleh bagi budak2 jalan kaki, bahaya!

Ok, malas nak berceloteh panjang2, aku just nak post recipe Chicken Pie yang aku buat few days ago.

Chicken Pie



Crust
500gm tepung
200gm shortening
125gm butter - sejuk
150-200ml air - kena masukkan sikit2

for filling
500gm minced chicken
diced carrot
peas
dices potatoes - rebus dulu
1 can of mushroom soup (430ml)
1/2 can of water
1 tsp salt
1 tbs chicken stock
1 tsp black pepper
5-6 clove garlic - crushed
1 tbs flour - utk pekatkan filling

1. mula2 masukkan 2-3 tbs oil dalam kuali, masukkan garlic
2. pastu masukkan minced chicken
3. then masukkan yg lain2, rasa, boleh la tutup api.

Ni recipe reka sendiri.. alhamdulillah, it turned out to be great! Kids love it so much!! The crust tak muak :D

Sushi King Sale

Aku tgh contemplating whether to pegi Sushi King ke tak hari ni coz today they will start their sale. Everything will be RM2 (rice based sushi). Rasa mcm nak pegi, tapi takut ramai sangat yang beratur, nanti anak2 aku balik KAFA sapa nak ambik. Where is hubby when I needed him the most?? Sob sob.. Hubby is away again for 5 days, balik hari khamis. Bosan sungguh.

Last nite aku tido kul 1am. Wanted to sleep early, pastu dok berchatting dgn x-bf kakak aku sampai pukul 1am dalam FB. Now mata macam nak tutup je.

Bahan2

1kg daging - I bought sliced beef utk steambot. kat jusco ada jual

halia - julienne ( i used about 4-5 inches)... Read More
4-5 clove garlic - crushed
4-5 tbs sos tiram
3 tbs kicap manis
kacang pea, broccoli, baby corn, carrot
1 tbs corn flour (bancuh dgn air)
garam and gula

cara2
1. mula masukkan 2 tbs oil dalam kuali, masukkan crushed garlic, goreng til 1/2 garing
2. then masukkan daging. since daging ni dah nipis, it will take about 5-8 mins je nak masak.
3. pastu masukkan halia, sos tiram, sayur, kicap manis, garam and gula.
4. i dont like my veges to be soggy and lembik, so i masukkan just before i nak angkat daging.
5. masukkan corn flour for about 2-3 mins, then boleh angkat.

SMSS Gathering @ The Garden

Mula2 nak update jugak blog semalam, but aku letih giler. Dah la the nite before aku tido pukul 3am sebab dok busy buat karipap for Ella, Anne and Ally. Semalam aku ada gathering budak2 sekolah aku kat The Garden. Bagi aku, The Garden ni tersangat la jauhnya, rasa malas nak pegi. But since ramai yang duduk kat area sana, so terpaksa la jugak pegi.

Aku naik LRT with Iman and Iffah. Sally picked us up kat LRT Taman Jaya. Pegh! ramai giler orang naik LRT. Most probably sebab ada PC Fair kat KLCC kot. Rasa macam masuk dalam tin sardine. Yang paling aku tak tahan, penumpang2 LRT yg bengap, yg tak reti nak bagi budak2 duduk. Kesian anak2 aku kena berdiri sampai la kat station Masjid Jamek. I tak paham dgn mentality orang Msia, kononnya berbudi bahasa sangat. Anak aku yang kecik pun reti nak bagi tempat duduk kat orang tua walaupun masa tu Iffah baru je dapat tempat duduk setelah lama berdiri.

We were supposed to be there at 3pm, but as usual, aku, Sally & Cikitas sampai a bit lambat sebab cari parking je dah more than 15 mins. Masa sampai tu Zida and Shahrin dah sampai. Then baru la the others sampai. Rasanya yang sampai paling lambat Potek, about 4.30pm. Since most of us tak jumpa more than 19 years, mula2 rasa a bit awkward. Biasa la, aku ni need time to panaskan enjin. Lepas enjin dah panas, couldnt stop talking. Hehe.. aku selalu mcm tu.

Lepas the gathering, aku balik rumah, Sally tolong hantarkan. Dia nak makan ayam kerutup yang aku buat. Lepak kat rumah kejap, after maghrib, kita orang keluar lagi. Aku pegi Eastin Hotel, hantar barang kat Anne, then sambung lepak dengan Sally kat Ikea's cafe. Pukul 11.pm baru Hubby datang ambik. Memang letih la semalam. Balik rumah, sambung lagi buat karipap untuk Ella. Alhamdulillah semua siap. Now tengah pikir, apa aku nak masak for lunch....

Lunch With Iffah

Yesterday I went to Jusco AU2 with Iffah. Selalunya kalau Mama needs someone to temankan, Iffah akan volunteer. Sometimes, nak keluar sorang2 ni malas. But the kids bila dah makin besar, amatla susahnya nak keluar dengan Mama. Bila Mama merajuk, baru la sibuk nak temankan. Semalam I wanted to replenish mutton rolls yang dah almost habis kat dalam freezer, selalunya aku akan pegi pagi so that aku akan dapat good bargain. Jusco AU2 will sell meat at 50% discount bila dah dekat their expiry date. Masa tu aku borong la byk2 since mutton, lamb, beef, marinated beef & wagyu beef very expensive. hehe.. nice trick rite?

Our lunch was Takoyaki. Since Mama still kenyang, so kita orang share Tako balls. Iffah bough Tako with prawn. Yummy! I love tako, provided they gave us generous serving of bonito, sauce and mayo. Eh! sauce apa yek yg dia org guna tu? erm.. aku pun wonder jugak. Good Tako will make u crave for more.

Ni gambar Iffah and the tako balls. The bonito on top of the tako balls bergerak2 mcm ulat, which turned off Iffah's appetite to finish javascript:void(0)off her tako sebab dia kata geli cam ulat. Actually bonito tu nampak mcm gerak2 sebab asap yg keluar dari tako balls. Takpe la, more for Mama then.. hehehe

These past few days, tv kat rumah aku dok asyik menayangkan cerita yang sama "Spirit". Iman & Iffah sama perangai dengan Mama dia, once they like a movie, they will watch the movie over and over again, sometimes 2-3 minggu, pastu bila dah bosan, then they will stop. It started with Ghibli Studio's movies, then Monster Inc, Toy Story, Pirates of Carribean and banyak lagi. So this week, rumah aku jadi minggu Spirit sedunia.. hehe





Now dia orang dok menghafal lagu Bryan Adams dalam cite ni. *sigh*.. macam2 la anak2 Mama ni. Today adalah hari Malas sedunia untuk Mama, so I'll just cook pasta. What pasta? We will see the end result in a short while, I havent decide yet :D

Caramel Pudding

Semalam buat projek caramel pudding untuk Iffah. Iffah loves caramel pudding, kalau bagi dia semua pun, boleh dia habiskan. I dont really like it coz it's sweet. Anything sweet doesnt really agree with my taste. Kalau buat teh O, my mum sure complain that my tea is too bland, takde rasa, rasa mcm air suam. Buat kopi pun mcm tu jugak.

Since today takde mood sgt lagi nak menaip panjang2, kita teruskan pada acara menepek recipe. Recipe caramel pudding ni aku belajar from mak Neli. As usual, aku ni suka tokok tambah recipe, maka ni la hasilnya :D

Caramel Pudding



Bahan2
5 eggs (Size A)
1 tin susu cair
1 tin air (sukat guna tin susu cair tu)
1/4 tsp salt

caramel
1 1/2 cup sugar - cairkan dalam periuk and goreng til brown
1/2 cup water - masukkan dalam air gula, kacau sampai caramelised sugar dissolved, pastu tutup api. sejukkan

Cara2
1. Pukul telur sampai kembang, then masukkan susu cair, air and salt, and pukul lagi.
2. tuang caramelised sugar dalam bekas, and pour egg mixture kat atas sugar tu.
3. kukus sampai masak. sejukkan
4. bila dah sejuk, masuk dalam peti for about 6-8 hours.
5. keluarkan and makan.. yummy!

Aku masukkan dalam container kecik2 masa nak kukus, so that senang for Iman and Iffah nak bawak to school.

Recipe - Meehoon Goreng Tomyam

Hari ni takde mood nak berblogging sebab letih sangat2. So I will just tempek recipe meehoon goreng tomyam that I made few days ago.

Meehoon Goreng Tomyam



Bahan2
1 bungkus meehoon
200gm udang
2 tbs tomyam paste (apa2 brand, asal menyelerakan)
10 clove garlic - crush
250gm taugeh
daun sup - potong panjang2 (abt 2 inches)
1 btg serai - ketuk
3 helai daun limau purut
4 tbs sos tiram

Cara2
1. tumis bwg putih, masukkan udang, then masukkan tomyam paste, then masukkan 3 cups air
2. bila air dah mendidih, masukkan sos tiram, salt, 4 tbs sugar, serai, daun limau purut and meehoon.
3. once air dah almost kering, masukkan daun sup and taugeh.
4. then boleh makan.. yummy!

Another 5 months to go before my birthday. If I make this list now, Hubby will definitely be able to fulfill it...... in my dream la kot.. hehe. Thus, I think might as well I ask for the impossible.

Hari ni aku jadikan "Sleeping Beauty Day". Nito la yang bagi nama tu. Actually, I'm pretty exhausted mentally and physically, these past few days byk sangat activity. Semalam ada "Car Boot Carnival" kat sekolah Iman. Pagi2 lagi dia orang dah kejutkan Mama and Abah, nak pegi sekolah.

Our plan was to walk to school, tapi disebabkan Mama and Abah bangun dah lambat, maka terpaksa la naik kereta. Bila sampai sekolah, MasyaAllah, ramainya manusia. Yesterday rasanya the 2nd year sekolah buat that event. This year was better than last year. At least lagi banyak kedai and beratur tunggu nak masuk rumah hantu tu lagi sistematik. Tahun lepas, nak masuk rumah hantu, budak2 kena beratur more than 2 jam, beratur tengah panas pulak tu.

We didnt stay long kat sekolah sebab panas sangat. Furthermore, terlalu ramai orang, termasuk la yang bukan sekolah kat situ. Budak2 luar pun ramai masuk. Cikgu siap buat announcement for the kids to be careful with their belongings sebab ada orang luar yang masuk sekolah untuk curi handphone and beg budak2. Teruk betul la orang yang macam tu. Really menyusahkan orang lain. Ada few budak2 yang hilang handphone and wallet.

Lepas balik from Car Boot Sale tu, aku pegi rumah Jana with Sally, Cikitass and Nito. Thank you Jana sebab bagi makan kat aku dan rombongan cik kiah aku tu.. hehe. Rumah Jana punya la jauh, letih aku drive. Jana hidangkan Nasik Kerabu. Aku bawak Meehoon Goreng Tomyam and karipap ikan aku yang femes tu.. hehehe.. perasan la pulak.

Recipes - Ayam Gulai Kampung, Sambal Udang

As promised, below are the recipes for the 2 dishes yang aku tak sempat2 nak up.

Sambal Tumis Udang


Bahan2
1kg udang
2-3 tangkai daun kari

bahan2 blend
30 biji bwg merah
10 biji bwg putih
8 tbs cili boh
1 tbs belacan

cara2
1. tumis daun kari dalam kuali, then masukkan bahan2 blend.
2. bila dah garing, masukkan gula, tumis lagi sampai gula hancur.
3. masukkan udang, 1/2 cup of air.
4. bila udang dah masak, masukkan garam and maybe tambah gula kalau perlu.


Ayam Gulai Kampung


bahan2
1 ekor ayam - potong 16
20 ulas bwg merah - mayang halus... Read More
10 ulas bwg putih - mayang halus
3 inci halia - mayang halus
2 inci lengkuas - ketuk
6-8 tbs cili boh
kerisik - from 1/2 biji kelapa
santan 1/2 kg
2 asam keping
1 keping nisang kecik
garam, gula
5 tbs rempah gulai kampung (ganti rempah kari pun takpe)
rempah kasar (kayu manis, bunga lawang, bunga cengkih, pelaga)
4 tbs bwg putih + bwg merah yg dah diblend

cara2
1. panaskan minyak dalam periuk, tumis rempah kasar.
2. then masukkan bwg & halia, goreng sampai garing.
3. masukkan cili boh, tumis sampai garing, then masukkan bwg blend & rempah gulai kampung, masukkan air sikit. then masukkan kerisik, asam keping & nisang
4. tumis sampai naik minyak.
5. once rempah dah garing, masukkan ayam sampai 1/2 masak. then masukkan santan & 3 cups of water. bila ayam dah masak, masukkan garam & gula

Madras Eye

Why do they call conjunctivitis as Madras eye? Pelik aku.. kalau kena conjunctivitis pastu bila tgk apa2, tukar jadi gold takpe gak. Ermm.. aku kena sakit mata.. sob sob.. Apa la.. dah tua, baru nak kena sakit mata. Pagi tadi la mata takleh nak bukak. Actually dari semlm lagi rasa tak selesa, mcm ada benda stuck dalam mata, rasa heavy je. Pastu gatal2.. *sigh*.. Hopefully anak2 tak kena.

I just came back from dinner with Nora kat Little Penang Cafe. Favourite dinner place for Nora, aku dah cam tak lalu nak makan kat Little Penang Cafe tu. Tadi masa tengah syok makan, tiba2 Nora tunjuk, kat pinggan dia ada rambut. Apa lagi, aku pun panggil la waiter kat situ, suruh dia tukar kari hantu dish Nora.

Ok, yang aku nak marah ni, the way they handle it. Dah la the manager tak datang say sorry. Pastu the waiter macam nak taknak je tukar dish tu. Masa bayar tadi, Nora belanja (thank you Nora), Nora compain la kat manager LPC KLCC tu. Manager tu siap boleh cakap lagi, that every 2-3 weeks, customer akan jumpa rambut, takleh nak elakkan lagi.

I was shocked!! Wei! u're an established eatery, I dont need to listen to ur shocking stories about customer jumpa rambut la, jumpa batu dalam pulut hitam la etc.. What I want to hear is ur "professionalism". Tak lalu aku nak makan kat situ lagi. Tomorrow I'll try to create my own kari hantu. Nothing special pun about LPC's curry hantu.

A Hot n Dry Day

Bangun pagi tadi, kepala rasa pening. Last nite pukul 1.30am, adik aku, Mas, called. Dia mintak tolong bawak pegi Hospital sebab Shariff the Sumo Baby was not well. Both of them kena diarrhea, tak tau la silap makan apa. Yang pastinya, Shariff diarrhea sebab maknya coz he's fully on breast milk. Pagi tadi pukul 4.30am baru balik rumah. Argh!! tension!! Aku kehilangan beberapa jam beauty sleep aku.. sob sob.. sungguh sedih.

Pukul 10.30am, Hubby ajak start Body For Life program again. Hubby cakap, nanti lagi 8 weeks, bila dia dah kurus, nanti aku pulak yang susah hati kalau aku tak start from now. Ye la, nak tak nak, terpaksa la ikut cakap Hubby ku itu. Dalam pening2, terpaksa jugak aku angkat berat since today is upper body exercise.

Lately ni KL dah panas balik. My problem is, aku tak tahan cuaca yang panas. Bila panas, aku akan kena migraine. Alhamdulillah today not as hot and dry as yesterday, but still very hot for puteri lilin (that's what hubby call me bila dia meluat dengan alasan taknak keluar sebab panas aku tu) macam aku ni :)

Iman : Mama, kat mana aunty Anne beli sling bag ni?
Mama : Kat Bangkok. Why?
Iman : Ooo.. Bangkok ni bila kita jalan, jalan dia pusing2, and buat kepala kita pening ke? Macam jalan nak pegi Genting tu..
Mama : Huh??! U mean BENGKOK?
Iman : Ha-ah, BENGKOK
Mama : ...............

Oh tidak! anak aku confused..
